SRK’s Dunki Movie Honest review 2024

After SRK’s Jawan and  Pathan, SRK’s yet another movie hitting the theaters to entertain us all at the end of 2023 is Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film was released on 21 December 2023. If you watch any movie of Rajkumar Hirani, you realize that every single scene in that movie makes you laugh and on the other side makes you emotional. This film is also similar.

This film is better than his other films. In this film, the topic of illegal immigration is presented in a very simple way, through light-hearted comedy and heartwarming emotions. The total budget of this film is Rs 120 CR. Today it has been almost 10 to 12 days since the film’s release but there is no stopping the earning of this film. To date, the box office collection of Dunki film is Rs 410 crores.

The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.

Dunki Summary

The film Donkey perfectly portrays the harsh reality of the people who came through the Donkey Flight and its impact on their future lives.

Some friends living in a village in Punjab want to go to London where they think they will end their poverty. One of them wants to go to London to pick up his old girlfriend whose husband is beating her. But they don’t have the education or wealth to get a visa to travel to another country.

They prepare for IELTS paper to get a student visa but they cannot learn English. Then they catch their flight to London illegally. And then what happens? If you want to know this, you should go to the theater and watch the movie yourself.

Dunki vs Salar

The movie Salaar has also been released along with the Dunki movie and because of this, the attitude of the audience towards these two films has become Dunki vs Salar. Shahrukh Khan and Prabhas’ Salar are fighting at the box office. After Pathan and Jawan, fans were excited for SRK’s Dunki.

The film is doing well at the box office and Danky pales in comparison to Prabhas’ Salar. It is directed by KGF fame Prashant Neel. There is no doubt that Dunki is a film similar to Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai, PK, and  Three Idiots.

Character Analysis

All the actors have played a good role in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan always likes to play two roles. He has played two roles in this too. He is seen in a dual role of old and young. Taapsee Pannu has done an amazing job. Vicky Kaushal’s role is minimal but he has won the hearts of the audience with his role throughout the film he makes people laugh and cry. Everyone else has done a great job.

Direction and cinematography

Rajkumar Hirani’s storytelling style is very emotional, connecting with the audience while watching the movie. The cinematography is great. Rajkumar Hirani’s direction has a different style.

The background score adds to the charm of the story. CK Muralidhar has shot many excellent scenes with his camera. Be it the scene in the desert of Turkey or Hardy and the gang reaching London by dunking, the film deserves full marks for these scenes.

Themes and messages

Rajkumar Hirani has conveyed a good message to people by commenting on illegal immigration through the movie Dunki. People are still trying to cross into other countries illegally. One thing is clear after watching this movie it is essential to remember that life is invaluable. Putting your life on the stake and choosing such risky paths would not be worthwhile.

Personal opinion

I liked this movie a lot. After watching the trailer, the movie is much better than what was expected from the movie. I liked Vicky Kaushal’s role very much. His role is very small but while watching it, it touched my heart. The movie is amazing from start to end. Rajkumar Hirani always presents a different idea in the film. Dunki will also be included in his great film.

Conclusion

The first half of this two-hour and 40-minute movie shows humor and comedy, the second half along with humor, the movie makes us emotional. You can watch this movie with your family.
